We showed our target audience the music video so far and got feeback from them about what they liked and what they thought we could do better.
The audience liked some of the shots that were used, especially the shot of the stairs at the tube station. They also said that it was in time with the music and fast paced which conforms to the conventions of pop videos for a young audience.
The target audience also said that they found some of the shots used were a bit dark and they couldn't see the face of the singer clearly because of the lighting.

Camera Worksheet
This camera worksheet made me think about where to place the camera to get the shot that I want for my music video. I often think about how I want the video to look and not how the camera will have to be set up to get the shot. By doing this sheet, I was able to think about conventional shots and mis-en-scene used in music videos and how I should use the camera to succeed with getting the right shots. It made me think about how I'd use the camera and if my shots were realistic for me to do or not.

Song Ideas
The original song that we chose was Never Meant by American Football. We had a clear idea about the narrative of the song, however it was too slow for us to edit to
The second song we chose was Riverside by Transit, however we didn't really understand what the song was about so couldn't think of a good narrative.

Narrative Ideas
The song that we are making our video to is Loud and Clear by Title Fight. The video will switch between narrative and performance
Narrative
A narrative idea could be about a boy who doesn't feel loved or valued by his girlfriend and coming to terms with it
Be about someone who feels lonley and left out by family and friends
Someone who has broken up with their girlfriend and is missing her even though their relationship wasn't happy
The main person in the narrative will be a male because the vocals of the song are male
Performance
A band will be in our video and they will have to be quite energetic because the song is fast paced and in some parts aggressive
Close ups of the band playing instruments to add to the performance element of the video. Also these shots will conform to the typical connventions of rock videos

Survey Monkey link
This is a link to the survey we made online for our target audience so that we could analyse our audience as part of audience research. The questionnaire is about the audience's uses of music and music videos

Evaluation Questions to think about
These are the evaluation questions that I need to think about while I'm doing this coursework.
1.
In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2.
How effective is the combination of your main product
and the ancillary texts?
3.
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
4.
How did you use media technologies in the construction
and research, planning and evaluation stages?
